Simran Bartia is a Legal Operations and Client Advisory Associate (JD Candidate) supporting Lacuna Management Consulting across client delivery, documentation, legal research, and operational execution for law firm advisory engagements.
Simran is a Juris Doctor candidate at Western University Faculty of Law (Class of 2027), with a strong and practical legal foundation developed through clinic and court-based work. She brings a rare combination of legal drafting capability, frontline procedural experience, and structured operational discipline—making her an effective contributor in engagements requiring both precision and execution.
Simran has supported access-to-justice and tribunal-facing matters through the Neighbourhood Legal Services Clinic (London & Middlesex) and the Ottawa Pro Bono Employment Law Clinic, where she drafted legal correspondence, submissions, and memoranda; prepared clients for hearings; reviewed supporting documentation; and assisted with strategy development under lawyer supervision. Her work has spanned housing, disability supports, income insecurity issues, employment standards, wrongful dismissal, and human rights-related matters.
Prior to law school, Simran worked within both private practice and the justice system. She served as an Executive Corporate Legal Assistant at Keyser Mason Ball LLP, drafting and organizing corporate documentation, maintaining corporate records (including minute books and registers), and supporting lawyers with document preparation for transaction closings. She also served in the Ontario court system at the Waterloo Region Courthouse / Ontario Superior Court of Justice, supporting courtroom operations, drafting endorsements, warrants and court orders, preparing hearing materials, and ensuring procedural compliance.
Simran’s strengths align directly with Lacuna’s advisory style: she is analytical, dependable under pressure, operationally structured, and detail-driven—supporting leadership-focused outcomes while maintaining professionalism and discretion. She also brings valuable communications capability through her leadership roles at Western Law in marketing, events, and student committee work.
Simran is multilingual and able to support diverse client environments, with experience providing interpretation in Punjabi, Hindi, and English.
